Who We Are

Nurses first in the ward, first on our knees.

The Fellowship of Christian Nurses (FCN) is a community of nursing students and practitioners at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, brought together by one conviction: that clinical skill and Christian faith are meant to grow side by side, not apart.

We meet to pray, to study scripture, and to hold one another up through the demands of nursing school and ward life. We believe a nurse who tends to a patient's spirit as carefully as their vitals is practicing medicine the way it was first intended.

Beyond our regular gatherings, members carry this calling into the community — leading health talks, supporting new mothers, and putting faith into practice long after the white coat comes off.

"Called to heal. Called to serve."

The shield and the sevenfold cross on our crest mark a fellowship built on both discipline and devotion — the two hands of nursing ministry.

What We Do

Faith, worked out in ward rounds and research.

From weekly devotions to community health outreach, our activities carry the same aim — nursing practiced as a calling.

Devotion

Prayer & Bible Study

Weekly devotionals and sermon studies that ground members in scripture before exams, clinical postings, and the pressures of nursing school.

Outreach

Maternal Health Advocacy

Community sensitisation on Kangaroo Mother Care and the danger signs of pregnancy, taking research from the classroom to postnatal mothers who need it.

Fellowship

Weekly Gatherings

Regular meetings for worship, testimony, and fellowship — a steady rhythm of encouragement across every level in the Faculty of Nursing Sciences.

Formation

Mentorship & Discipleship

Senior members walk with new intakes, pairing academic guidance with spiritual mentorship as students move toward RN, RM, and RPHN registration.

"Heal the sick... freely you have received; freely give."

Matthew 10:8
